Danhostel Ishoj Beach

Ishøj, which is situated just to the south of Copenhagen, is a modern municipality with 21,000 residents, compared to 3,000 25 years ago. Nevertheless, 75% of the area is made up of green areas and wetland areas. The beach, which is part of a 7 km beach park, is one of the best in Denmark and offers many opportunities for both relaxation and activities. Arken, a gallery of modern art , is situated in the area next to the beach park together with a marina, camp site and lakes. Take a trip inland on either your own bike or a hired one. There are 37 km of protected cycle paths in the green areas that give Ishøj the title: the Green Gateway to Copenhagen. Ishøj is an obvious holiday destination all year round and is also the perfect starting point for visits to the city of Copenhagen, which is just 15 km away with all its temptations. Six suburban trains run to the city every hour. The youth hostel, which enjoys views of the beach park, is newly built and is suitable for school camps, sports associations and courses.
