Kunsthal Charlottenborg

Kunsthal Charlottenborg is one of the largest and most beautiful exhibition spaces for contemporary art in Northern Europe.

The exhibition space presents an ambitious program with international outlook featuring talents as well as established stars from both Denmark and abroad. The trendsetting exhibition program is supplemented with a large number of activities like artist talks, performances, concerts and film screenings.

The cinema Charlottenborg Art Cinema is the place to view established and experimental film art as well as documentaries that set the agenda for discussions of today, and in the bookstore Charlottenborg Art Books you can find posters and publications about art, architecture, design and philosophy. In the courtyard, you can find the eatery Apollo Bar, run by the international renowned chef and restaurateur Frederik Bille Brahe.

Kunsthal Charlottenborg is centrally located at Kongens Nytorv and is part of the The Royal Danish Academy of Art, Schools of Visual Art. In addition, every year Kunsthal Charlottenborg forms the headquarters for Copenhagen's international documentary film festival, CPH:DOX, and the Nordics' leading art fair, CHART, making Kunsthal Charlottenborg a natural meeting point for contemporary art in the city.
